This inspiring video takes viewers inside one of the world’s largest solar parks, the huge plant at Benban in Egypt. The video includes exclusive footage of this modern-day miracle from space. Benban - which is in the Aswan province - took 3 years to build, is 37 km2 and will generate 1.5 GW. It will be able to power more than 1,000,000 homes. The EBRD is proud to be the largest financier having supported 16 of the 32 plots. This project is supported by the Green Climate Fund, the European Union and The Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) Multi-Donor Account (Australia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Taipei China and the United Kingdom). |
