Peskov: "The Ukrainian president has no right to negotiations"
![]() It is not yet clear who will take part in the negotiations on the Ukrainian issue; the Kremlin assumes that Vladimir Zelensky has banned himself from conducting them with Russia, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. Earlier, Zelensky said that he expected the start of negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict with the participation of Moscow, as well as Brussels, Washington and Kiev. "So far, no one has seriously discussed a possible combination of the composition of the participants in the negotiations. As of now, we assume that the Ukrainian president has no right to such negotiations. Therefore, to discuss, if the very decree remains in force, to discuss a possible composition of participants is probably to get ahead of ourselves," the Kremlin spokesman said. On October 4, 2022, Vladimir Zelensky decreed to enact the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the impossibility of negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. |
