"Now everything depends on Russia" - Zelensky
![]() Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky explained at a press conference with reporters why Ukraine supports the US idea of a ceasefire, Ukrainian media reported. “None of us trusts the Russians, we have been through it. But we will not play with the narratives that Russia is spreading around the world, that we allegedly do not want the war to end. I am very serious, and the end of the war is important to me. I want the President of the United States to see this, so that Americans see and feel it. And so that Europe and everyone agree that everything must be done to force Russia to stop this war,” the Ukrainian president said. He noted that today everything depends on whether Russia wants a ceasefire and silence or not. The Ukrainian president has called on Washington to "keep its promise" if Moscow does not accept the ceasefire proposal, toughening sanctions against Russia, and military support for Ukraine. On March 11 in Jeddah, the US and Ukrainian delegations agreed on a 30-day ceasefire and signed an agreement on the joint exploitation of mineral resources in Ukraine. |
