The Japanese government introduced further sanctions against Russia on 27 January 2023. The Japanese government designated additional individuals and entities related to the Russian Federation who will be under sanctions as they are supposed to be directly related with the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Their assets in Japan will be frozen and financial transactions will be limited, according to the BBC.
Sanctions are imposed on 48 Russian individuals, more than 94 legal entities, including Deputy Defense Minister Viktor Goremykin and Kalashnikov CEO Alan Lushnikov, etc.
