Mark Carney will replace Trudeau

Former Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney has been elected as the new leader of the country's ruling Liberal Party. He will also become the next Prime Minister of Canada, replacing Justin Trudeau, Global News reports.
In the election for the leader of the ruling Liberal Party of Canada, Carney's candidacy received 86% of the votes.

He is expected to soon take the seat of the country's Prime Minister. The new party leader expressed words of gratitude to his fellow party members on his X.

It is known that Carney supports sending financial and military aid to Ukraine. He also opposes Canada's accession to the United States.

"Canada will never, under any circumstances, become part of America," wrote Mark Carney.
