IAAF unveils new name and logo

![]() The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) is a mouthful and is confusing for anyone saying the name to whoever is not familiar with the worldwide governing body of athletics. The council voted in favour of rebranding the organization as World Athletics complete with a new logo. World Athletics’ new identity will begin its rollout in October after the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar and following final approval by the congress of the change to the federation’s legal name. ![]() |
