Georgia is glad that it is "not sitting on the same train" with Ukraine, although its allies insisted on this. This was stated by the country's Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, TASS reports.

"Today, I think we can all see clearly how beneficial it could be for Georgia to be on the train in which the current government of Ukraine is sitting," the country's Foreign minister ironically emphasized.

At the same time, according to the minister, earlier Georgia was pointed out the need to follow the same pro-European course, otherwise the country's time "will never come."

Relations between the West and Georgia have deteriorated since the parliamentary elections held on October 26, 2024, which were won by the ruling Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia party. The current authorities have rejected the path of European integration. The opposition and former President Salome Zurabishvili refuse to recognize the results of the vote. Since November 4, opponents of the government have been holding rallies demanding a second round of elections.
