Saakashvili has threatened to change the government in Georgia in 72 hours
Former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili promised to return to Georgia and the change of power there. He declared it on air of TV channel Rustavi 2. According to Saakashvili, he would return to his homeland, when will be convinced that “the active part of Georgia and the opposition” can provide him with 72 hours of free travel around the country. “This scenario of change leadership peacefully,” he added. In November 2018, Saakashvili called on Georgians not to recognize the results of presidential elections. He called the election campaign of illegitimate and accused the authorities of rigging, vote-buying and pressure on them. Mikhail Saakashvili came to power as a result of opposition rallies in 2004, then in 2007 made a voluntary decision to resign after mass protests in Tbilisi.
