Iran signals willingness to halt US talks over regional strikes
![]() The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Galibaf, has stated that Iran is prepared to suspend negotiations with the United States if ongoing military operations in the region continue. Galibaf made the remarks during a telephone conversation with Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, outlining Tehran’s conditions for any potential agreement with Washington. According to Galibaf, any future deal between Iran and the United States must include a comprehensive cessation of hostilities across multiple fronts, including in Lebanon. He emphasised that Tehran is seeking an end to Israeli strikes in the region and warned that continued military action would directly impact diplomatic efforts. “Over the past two days, we have been making every effort to secure a halt to Israeli attacks. If these crimes continue, we will not only halt the negotiation process but also take a stand against the Zionist regime,” Galibaf’s press office reported. |
