Forbes: 21 billionaires died in 2023, half are over 90 years old

21 billionaires passed away in 2023, about half of them were over 90 years old, writes Forbes. The oldest person on the list was American Charles Munger, vice chairman and shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway. He was 99 years old.
At the same time, the average age of the deceased is 85 years. The publication mentions only one woman, Zhao Ning from China. She was the co-founder of the Chinese pharmaceutical company WuXi AppTec. She died at the age of 56 after a long struggle with cancer. In total, the list includes nine US citizens, three from India and two from Malaysia.
"Indian paints magnate Ashwin Dani, who died at the age of 80 in September, was the richest of the billionaires who died this year, with a fortune estimated at eight billion dollars," the article notes.
