At least 32 dead in floods in South Korea

![]() Heavy rains in South Korea have left at least 32 people dead and 10 missing, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters said on Sunday. The rainfall has caused numerous floods and landslides across the country, with the North Gyeongsang province in the southeast reporting the most fatalities. The death toll is expected to rise as emergency services reach the impacted areas, including a 685-meter underground tunnel in the city of Osong, where efforts are underway to rescue people trapped in vehicles after six were found dead. According to Yonhap, 7,540 people from 13 cities and provinces have been evacuated so far. |
