Nikol Pashinyan: "There is a warning that many scientists will become unemployed"
"There is a warning that many scientists will become unemployed. What is the reason of current situation?", asked Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to the minister of education at the government session. "On 27th December 2018 the government of RA made a decision about measures of budget execution 2019 and suggests that basic financing of many universities and centers of scientific research will be organized by the statutory commission created by the ministry of education in 24th of September 2018 and which discuss the state programs. In coming weeks, the decree of the ministry of education about the confirmation of principles of effective estimation of activities of scientific and technological state organizations and basic financing will be circulated. By the second half of the year we will have effective centers and will suggest new standard as there is a big gap", said Arayik Harutyunyan adding that in September 2018 "we had a decree about basic financing of universities and when we made a decision at the end of December we didn't take that circumstance into account. In coming years there will be a new standard and won't be such kind of reductions." Earlier we reported about the problem of YSU employers, according to which 450 of them will lose the job by the government decision. |
