Arnold Schwarzenegger Slams Trump Over Putin Presser: "You Stood There Like a Little Wet Noodle"
Arnold Schwarzenegger took aim at President Donald Trump on Monday, slamming Trump for his "embarrassing" press conference with Russian leader Vladimir Putin at the Helsinki Summit. The "Governator" took to Twitter and excoriated Trump for his supine performance, deriding him as a Putin "fan boy." “You stood there like a little wet noodle, like a little fan boy,” Schwarzenegger said in the Twitter video. “I was asking myself when you are going to ask him for an autograph or a selfie or something like that.” The former Republican California governor also attacked Trump for siding with Putin and Russia over the entire U.S. intelligence community and the Justice Department over Russian interference in the 2016 election. “You’re the president of the United States. You shouldn’t do that. What’s the matter with you?” Schwarzenegger asked. Evoking the Cold War and former President Ronald Reagan, Schwarzenegger then rhetorically asked what had become of the strength of U.S. policy towards Russia: “What happened to the strong words and the strength of Ronald Reagan when he stood there at the Berlin Wall and said 'Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall'?” “What happened to all that?” he added at the end of the video.
