![]() The Serbian Parliament refused the offer of opposition to accept the Armenian Genocide. According to the Balkan service of "Azatutyun" radio station, several such offers have been made during these last years to the Serbian government, all of which have been declined. This time, the resolution of accepting the Genocide of 1.5 million Armenians in the Ottoman Turkey, was presented by the former Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Živković, who is now the head of the "New Party" political force. During the interview with the Serbian service of "Azatutyun" radio station Živković highlighted the importance of clarifying the official position of Belgrad on the issue, reminding that not only Russia but the majority of US have accepted the biggest tragedy of the 20th century. It should also be reminded that the Serbian president was among those foreign leaders, who were present on the 24th of April, 2015 for the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Yerevan. |
