Zelenskyy: Ukraine will do everything possible to end war before winter
![]() Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv will do everything possible to ensure that the Russian-Ukrainian war ends before the start of winter 2026. According to Ukrainian media, speaking at a meeting with Ukrainian ambassadors in Kyiv, Zelenskyy said the task of Ukrainian diplomacy is to provide maximum support for the government's foreign policy course and strengthen cooperation with international partners. At the same time, he noted that it is impossible to predict exactly when diplomatic efforts, Ukraine's long-range sanctions against Russia, and restrictive measures by allies will produce results. However, he said pressure must reach a level where Moscow has "no alternative other than peace." According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine will make every effort to end the war this autumn, before the arrival of winter. He added that Kyiv understands Moscow's intention to prolong the conflict, prepare a new mobilization campaign, and launch further strikes. |
