![]() The U.S. is deploying forces, medical teams and weapons to the Middle East to give President Donald Trump more powerful military options as he considers expanding the confrontation with Iran, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources involved in the matter. According to American officials and flight tracking data, special operations forces were deployed to the region in the past week. Additionally, according to one source, fighter jet squadrons have been positioned across the Middle East, and bomber aircraft at bases in the U.S. and Britain are on high alert for increased activity. According to some sources, long-range bombers are also preparing for extensive operations, including B-1 bombers currently stationed in Britain.
