Israel targets Iran’s main naval weapons production site, IDF says
![]() The Israeli Air Force has carried out a strike on a major Iranian facility involved in the production of missiles and naval mines in the city of Yazd, according to an official statement from the Israel Defence Forces. The operation was conducted based on intelligence provided by both the IDF and the Israeli Navy. The targeted site is described as a central hub for Iran’s naval weapons development and manufacturing activities. According to the IDF, the facility played a key role in “the planning, development, assembly, and storage of advanced missiles intended for launch from cruise platforms, submarines, and helicopters toward both mobile and stationary maritime targets.” The statement further noted that “this is the site in which the Iranian Navy develops the majority of their missiles and sea mines.” |
