US ready to station troops in Ukraine to guarantee security, Polish PM says
![]() The United States has, for the first time, expressed readiness to provide Ukraine with security guarantees that could include the presence of American troops on its territory, said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk after a videoconference of European leaders. "Any possible consent (to territorial concessions - ed.) must be conditioned on genuine, well-thought-out security guarantees for Ukraine after a possible peace is reached. This is a significant challenge for all participants in the process, but, as I said, peace has appeared on the horizon for the first time since the start of the full-scale war," Tusk said. |
