![]() The new 19th package of EU sanctions against Russia may include a ban on the free movement of Russian diplomats in the Schengen zone, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said. “I will continue to insist that the free movement of Russian diplomats in the Schengen zone be suspended,” he said in an interview with the European publication Politico. “This is an unnecessary advantage,” he said. According to some EU diplomats, the new package of anti-Russian sanctions will most likely not include restrictions on the purchase of Russian energy resources. The new sanctions will affect the so-called “shadow fleet” and companies that, according to the West, help Russia circumvent economic restrictions. |
