 French President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview with NBC News that during the talks in Washington, European leaders warned Donald Trump about the inadmissibility of postponing the peace process in Ukraine. According to him, there are serious doubts that Moscow is ready for peace. The French president stressed that in the future, European armed forces should participate in peacekeeping missions in Ukraine. “We will need a strong Ukrainian army, we will need the support of allies on the ground. Peacekeeping operations must be provided by European partners,” Macron said. According to him, any agreement without security guarantees is doomed to failure. “Georgia - 2008, Crimea - 2014. It is absolutely clear: if you conclude peace without guarantees, Russia will never honor its words and will not fulfill its own obligations.
