Paris court acquits journalist who called Macron's wife a man

The Paris Court of Appeal has acquitted journalist Natasha Ray, who was convicted of calling French President Emmanuel Macron’s wife, Brigitte, a man, claiming she was born a man. Ray’s lawyer, François Danglian, announced this on the X social network.

“The Court of Appeal has acquitted Natasha Ray,” he said.

It is noted that Ray now intends to file a lawsuit against the wife of the French leader, accusing her of fraud.

Brigitte Macron had accused the journalist of defamation. In September 2024, the court found her guilty, imposing a fine of 500 euros and 8 thousand euros in compensation. Natasha Ray’s lawyer reported violations during the trial and appealed to the European Court of Human Rights.
