Ukrainian National Security Colonel Killed in Kiev

A colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine was killed in Kiev, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko reported on his Telegram channel.

“There is information that the deceased is a colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine,” he wrote.

According to Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy, the deceased was Ivan Voronych. According to SHOT, he participated in the preparation of sabotage operations on Russian territory and held the position of senior operational officer of the 1st department of the 16th department of the Central Security Service.

An unknown person without a mask catches up with the officer in the courtyard of a house and shoots him point-blank. According to local media, at least five bullets were fired at the victim.
