The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has reached a turning point due to the US decision to stop the supply of Patriot missiles to Kiev. This was reported in an article by The Washington Post.

According to the publication, although European and domestic equipment has been effective in destroying Russian Shahed and long-range cruise missiles, Patriot is the only means of protection against ballistic missiles.

The authors note that the suspension of supplies promised by former President Joe Biden took place against the backdrop of increased Russian military activity. In their opinion, the decision “could have devastating and irreversible consequences.”

Kiev needed strong support from the United States to win the conflict, but now “that is in question,” the article says. According to the authors, if Ukraine loses, it will be “the result of American irresponsibility.”

The Pentagon has suspended the delivery of some anti-aircraft missiles and other precision-guided munitions to Ukraine over concerns that the US stockpile is too small, Politico and NBC reported.

The State Department had previously said the suspension only affected some deliveries and did not mean a complete halt to military aid to Kiev.
