"Russia's military plans are aimed at Odessa, then at the borders of Moldova and Romania" - Zelensky
![]() Russia’s military plans are aimed at Odessa, then at the borders of Moldova and Romania. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this at the IV Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit in Odessa, Interfax-Ukraine reports. “We are here again, in our beautiful city, Odessa. This beautiful city is a target for Russia. It wants to destroy it, as it has destroyed countless cities and villages in the occupied territories. Russia’s military plans are aimed at this region, Odessa, then at the borders of Moldova and Romania. Of course, we need protection now. But, more than that, we need long-term guarantees that this will never happen again,” Zelensky said. Zelensky called on the summit participants to consider security guarantees after the war as a practical necessity. "From air defense to cyber threats, we need real deterrence and rapid response capabilities. Let's look at our agreements, our armies, our infrastructure, and strengthen everything that protects the security of our countries," Zelensky noted. |
