According to the media outlet, this refers to a joint base for ground forces and air forces, as well as a naval base. Under the new conditions, Turkey will provide the necessary assistance to ensure security and stability in Syria, the newspaper writes, adding that the US will withdraw most of its troops from Syria, leaving a “symbolic base” in the Arab republic. Earlier, Erdogan received the interim leader of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, in Istanbul.
