"Zelensky is not suitable for the role of the signatory of the memorandum" - Russian Foreign Ministry

Volodymyr Zelensky is not suitable to sign the memorandum on the settlement of the conflict, said the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large for Crimes of the Kyiv Regime Rodion Miroshnik.
"Zelensky is not suitable to sign the memorandum on the settlement of the conflict because of his legal status... This nuance will be taken into account when preparing the memorandum. We certainly do not want to leave legal loopholes for recognizing it as null and void from a legal point of view," Miroshnik wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev proposed finding persons in Ukraine who can sign documents on the settlement in accordance with the constitution.

Zelensky's term expired on May 20, 2024. The 2024 presidential elections in Ukraine were canceled, citing martial law and general mobilization.
