![]() The fifth round of talks between the United States and Iran will take place on May 23 in Rome, Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaid, who is mediating between the parties, said. The United States and Iran have held four rounds of talks, mediated by Oman, to resolve their differences over Tehran’s nuclear program. The first round was held on April 12 in the Omani capital Muscat, the second on April 19 in Rome, and the third and fourth rounds were held on April 26 and May 11, again in the Omani capital. The Iranian delegation to the talks was led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, while the US delegation was led by Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff. |
