Netanyahu: "Israel intends to establish control over the entire Gaza Strip"
![]() Israel intends to establish military control over the entire Gaza Strip. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Jewish state, Benjamin Netanyahu, commenting on the progress of the large-scale operation "Gideon's Chariots" that began the day before in the enclave. He emphasized that the goals of military action remain the same - the defeat of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas and the release of Israeli hostages held in Gaza. At the same time, in the near future, Israel, together with the United States, will deploy a network of distribution points to ensure access of Gaza residents to humanitarian aid and prevent its theft by Hamas supporters, the prime minister added. "This is part of the destruction of Hamas, in parallel with powerful military pressure, with our massive invasion, essentially establishing control over all of Gaza and depriving Hamas of the opportunity to plunder humanitarian aid. This is the military plan and the plan for victory," Netanyahu said. Answering a clarifying question about plans for further actions in the enclave, the prime minister noted that the Israeli army is currently conducting "enormous, intense and powerful activity" there. "We are going to establish control over the entire territory of the strip. This is what we are going to do," he said. |
