Third round of Iran-US talks concludes in Oman
![]() The third round of US-Iran nuclear talks has concluded in Oman, the state news agency ISNA reported. Consultations between technical teams from Iran and the US, as well as the third round of talks between the two countries, were held in the Omani capital Muscat. The US delegation was led by US Special Representative for the Middle East Affairs Steve Witkoff, while the Iranian delegation was led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The Iranian Foreign Minister described the talks as constructive and calm, and thanked the Omani Foreign Minister for his efforts in facilitating the exchange of views between the Iranian and US delegations. The talks will continue next week, with a high-level meeting scheduled for May 3, the Omani Foreign Ministry said. The second round of talks between Iran and the US was held in Rome on April 19, mediated by Oman. The issue of developing nuclear energy for peaceful purposes was discussed. ![]() |
