A powerful army, territorial issues: Zelensky lists red lines
![]() The reduction of the number of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is a red line in peace negotiations. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, reports the Ukrainian Pravda. “For us, the priority is our powerful army, the largest army in Europe, these are red lines, no reduction in the number of the army,” he said. Zelensky also noted that after the end of hostilities, Kiev expects to expand the personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and modernize the army. Another “red line” for Ukraine, according to Zelensky, is the non-recognition of the temporarily occupied territories as Russian. “Not to recognize any territory occupied by Russia as Russian, these are Ukrainian territories, in any case, this is one of the important “red lines” for us,” the president noted. |
