Trump: "New US tariffs will affect all countries"
![]() President Donald Trump said on Sunday that reciprocal tariffs he is set to announce this week will include all nations, not just a smaller group of 10 to 15 countries with the biggest trade imbalances. Trump has promised to unveil a massive tariff plan on Wednesday․He has already imposed tariffs on aluminum, steel and autos, along with increased tariffs on all goods from China. According to Trump, the US tariffs will be much milder than the tariffs previously imposed on American exports by other countries. "We have been robbed more than any other country in history, yet we will be much more generous to them than they have been to us," the US president said. Earlier, Trump announced his intention to impose mirror tariffs on imported goods from April 2. Brazil, India, Canada, China, Mexico and the EU countries, on average, charge much higher tariffs on the US than the US charges these countries. |
