Israel resumes ground operation in Gaza

The IDF named the "expanding the security zone" and "creating a partial buffer" in the north and south of the exclave as its main tasks. In addition, the army decided to deploy the Golani Brigade in southern Israel. The military will remain "on full combat alert for operations in the Gaza Strip," the statement said. Later, the ministry reported "large-scale strikes" across the Gaza Strip, in particular strikes on the infrastructure of the Palestinian Hamas movement.
