Mamedov։ "It՛s early to discuss the place of signing the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan"
![]() It is still early to discuss the place of signing the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. As reported by APA, this was stated by Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mamedov to journalists. According to him, the Azerbaijani side expects that the claims to the sovereign territories of Azerbaijan that have existed since the 1990s will be eliminated by making a corresponding amendment to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and abolishing the Minsk Group. “On the latter issue, both states can apply to the OSCE. The Azerbaijani side has been making this proposal for some time now, taking into account that the conflict has been resolved. Unfortunately, the Armenian side has not yet responded to the joint appeal. We hope that Armenia will inform us of its real intentions,” Mamedov noted. “Considering the activities of revanchist forces in Armenia, we consider this a serious risk,” the Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister added. |
