Media reveals how many IRIS-T systems were supplied to Ukraine by Germany
Germany intends to provide Ukraine with 12 IRIS-T SLM medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems. Several of these have already been delivered. Details: According to the source, this concerns Berlin's previous promises. The source stated that four IRIS-T units have already been supplied, two more systems are expected by the end of the year, and another six will be delivered later. Earlier, DW claimed, citing a German government representative, that Germany planned to transfer a variety of weapons to Ukraine by the end of 2024, including four IRIS-T air defence systems of various ranges and ten Leopard tanks. Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung reported that the current budget planning of the German federal government does not provide for additional funds to support Ukraine and that at Chancellor Scholz’s request, additional applications from the German Ministry of Defence for military aid to Ukraine would no longer be approved. |
