Xi Jinping re-elected as president of China to third term

China’s parliament unanimously elected President Xi Jinping for a third term. According to Reuters, this is the first time in China’s history a candidate is reappointed for the third term

The reappointment of Xi Jinping for a third term became possible after the country's constitution was amended in 2018.
