What was Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Arakel Martikyan referring to when he said during a press conference that the Armed Forces have an order to restore the territorial integrity of Armenia and are obliged to fulfill the order of the supreme commander? Aram Torosyan: The Deputy Chief of the General Staff gave the general description of the main mission of the Armed Forces of Armenia, that is to protect Armenia’s sovereign territory from external threats. There is nothing extraordinary or new in that statement. In other words, that statement wasn't a hint about any action? Aram Torosyan: There is no need to look for any hint or hidden subtext. Deputy Chief of the General Staff Arakel Martikyan talked about the main mission of the Armed Forces – the protection of the sovereign territory of Armenia.
