Eurovision 2022: Alina Pash not to represent Ukraine at song contest

Alina Pash said that she abides by the laws of Ukraine, tries to bring the traditions and values of Ukraine to the world, but does not want this virtual war and hatred. "I am an artist, not a politician. I do not have an army of publicists, managers, lawyers to resist all this attack and pressure, hackings of my social networks; threats," she wrote. Pash said she did not want to participate in this dirty story. "I do not want to be in this dirty story anymore. With a heavy heart, I withdraw my candidacy as the representative of Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest. Unfortunately. I am really sorry," she wrote. Late on the evening of February 12, Ukraine learned the name of its representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Alina Pash predictably became the winner of National Selection.
