The United States is trying to convince Azerbaijan to agree to ceasefire with Armenia, which has already agreed to the proposal. This is what Assistant to the US President for National Security Affairs Robert O’Brien said in an interview with CBS. “Under the President’s direction, we have spent the entire weekend trying to broker peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Armenia has accepted a ceasefire. Azerbaijan has not yet. We are pushing them [Azerbaijan] to do so,” he said. |
