US sanctions Russians over Crimea business dealings

The U.S. Treasury Department is going to announce on Thursday a new package of sanctions against Russia, associated, including, with the annexation of the Russian Federation of the Crimea and occupation of Donbas.

This was stated during a telephone briefing US special envoy on negotiations on Ukraine Kurt Volker, UKRINFORM reported.

“Today, the United States imposes financial sanctions, the new sanctions related to Crimea and Donbass. The U.S. Treasury Department will release official release about this today,” said the American diplomat.

As informed Walker that the new restrictions relating to three individuals and nine entities. They relate both to the illegal attempts of doing business, and serious human rights violations.

Walker also noted that these actions are applied in the context of the official US position regarding non-recognition of illegal annexation of Crimea and the military aggression of the Russian Federation in the East of Ukraine.
