On the receipt and powers of the fourth President of the Republic of Armenia

On March 2 the parliament chose Armen Sargsyan as the President of the Republic of Armenia who will take office on April 9, the day on which the president's term expires. The head of the parliament informed that Article 127 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia "RA NA Rules" in accordance with the 49th Law of the Constitutional Law, the President of Armenia assumes office at the National Assembly's special session which in the case of a regular scale is convened on the day on which the powers of the President of the Republic expires. It was noted that the NA special session will be convened on April 9. The procedure for holding the special sitting is defined by the NA Speaker's suggestion by the decision of the Board.
