Eurovision 2017 winner Salvador Sobral undergoes heart transplant
![]() Winner of Eurovision Song Contest 2017, Portugal’s Salvador Sobral, is recovering in hospital after undergoing a heart transplant. Surgeons at the Santa Cruz Hospital in Lisbon revealed the 27-year-old was ‘doing well’ after the surgery. ‘The surgery went well,’ Sobral’s surgeon Miguel Abecasis told Portugese publication Publico Daily. ‘He was very well prepared. He is a young man who understood the difficulties of this type of procedure.’ He added that Sobral would take a while to recover from the surgery, but if all went well he would be able to continue living a ‘completely normal life’. |
