#TheGuardian: Burnham will urge Trump to end the war with Iran

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham plans to urge US President Donald Trump to end the war in Iran. The British newspaper The Guardian wrote about this on September 21.

"Burnham also said he would use his first meeting with Trump on Tuesday (September 22. - Ed.) to urge the US president to de-escalate the conflict in Iran," the publication says.

“Of course the message is that we want to see an end to the conflict as quickly as possible and we stand ready to play our part,” Burnham said when asked if he would raise the issue in talks with Trump.

It is specified that Burnham intends to build relations with the American president along the "third way" — based on the strength of his own personality. He will take a less confrontational position than Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, but at the same time avoid the "public ingratiation" that characterized the early approach of his predecessor, Keir Starmer.
