Cargo plane overshoots runway at Miami International Airport

Miami Dade Fire Rescue says crews "received reports of a hazardous situation involving a plane that overran a runway and struck multiple vehicles" at 13:55 local time (18:55 BST).

Authorities "arrived to find an airplane that had caught on fire as a result of this crash, with heavy flames and smoke showing".

The statement says there are "multiple patients" at the scene, and that over 60 members of Miami Dade Fire Rescue are responding.

"We will provide additional updates on patients as they become available," the statement says.
