Finland will allocate €28.5 million to restore Ukraine’s energy sector
![]() Finland will allocate approximately 28.5 million euros to restore Ukraine’s energy sector, which has suffered significant damage due to Russian attacks. The funds will be used to supply power plants to ensure a stable electricity supply, especially ahead of the heating season. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland. The total cost of the project is 46.5 million euros, the remaining financing will be provided by the Ukrainian side. The equipment supplier is the Finnish company Wärtsilä Finland Oy. The power plants will be manufactured in the city of Vaasa. The procurement for Ukraine’s needs is carried out by the state-owned company Ukrnafta. The Finnish government emphasizes that reliable energy supply remains critically important for Ukraine, especially in winter, when Russia traditionally intensifies attacks on energy infrastructure. |
