The Russian Jeland J6 crossover will get all-wheel drive and become more powerful

The Jeland J6 crossover, which is produced at the AGR holding plant in St. Petersburg, will receive a new modification with a more powerful engine and an all-wheel drive system. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on July 22.

The new version of the Jeland J6 will be equipped with a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 150 hp (275 Nm) in conjunction with a 7-speed robotic gearbox with two wet clutches. There are six settings modes for the driving electronics of the all-wheel drive system. Currently, the crossover is available only with a 1.5-liter turbo engine (147 hp; 210 Nm), a six-speed "robot" and front-wheel drive.

At the first stage, the all-wheel drive modification will be available only in the Prestige top-end configuration with an expanded set of equipment. Among other things, the new version will feature alloy wheels in a different design, and the interior is equipped with a new 8.88-inch color digital instrument panel and a more powerful eight-core multimedia system processor.

The package also includes a panoramic roof with an area of 1.45 square meters, multi-layered front windows, interior lighting, heated all seats, ventilation of the front seats, an audio system with eight speakers and wireless charging for a 50-watt smartphone. There is a complex of electronic driver assistants and a 540° panoramic view system with a "transparent chassis" function.

The price of the new product has not yet been disclosed. The front-wheel drive Jeland J6, which went on sale in June under the Russian brand and is based on the Chinese model Jaecoo J6, now costs from 2.29 million to 2.7 million rubles, depending on the configuration.
