![]() Two earthquakes with a magnitude of 4.5 and 4.9 were recorded in western Iran, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported on July 20. The first tremor occurred at 03:43 UTC (06:43 Moscow time) about 75 km west of the city of Kariz, where more than 750 thousand people live. The epicenter was at a depth of 2 km. The second earthquake occurred five minutes later in the same area. The depth of the hearth was 11 km. |
