Earthquake of magnitude 5.2 strikes Karpathos

![]() The southeastern Aegean island of Karpathos was rocked by a 5.2-magnitude earthquake on Thursday. According to the Athens-based Geodynamic Institute, the tremor struck at 2.06 p.m., just 4 kilometers off the island’s southeast coast, at a depth of 13 kilometers. The tremor was also felt on nearby Rhodes. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. |
