![]() US Vice President JD Vance compared himself to Kevin McCallister, the character played by Macaulay Culkin in the "Home Alone" movie franchise, as he remains in the country during President Donald Trump's trip to China. "I walk into the White House, it's very quiet, and no one's there, and it takes me a second to realize exactly what's going on," Vance said in a news conference on May 13. Vance pointed to Secret Service protocols as to why he did not accompany Trump, who briefly appeared in "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York," to China.
