Iran's FM says war must end with guarantees against future aggression
![]() Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said Tehran has not requested a ceasefire and believes the conflict must end in a way that ensures similar attacks against the country will not happen again. Speaking to journalists, the minister noted that Iran has endured a “difficult year” but passed through it “with pride, dignity, and honour,” SNN reports. “As we have said many times, and as I repeated yesterday in an interview with an American television channel, we have not sent any messages and are not asking for a ceasefire, but this war must end in such a way that it will not be repeated,” he stressed. Araghchi added that Iran will continue its “dignified resistance” and does not seek to prolong the war, but believes the conflict must conclude in a way that eliminates the possibility of similar attacks in the future. According to him, the Iranian people are ready to defend the country and continue the confrontation if necessary. |
