The Trump administration demands both votes be held by May 15, otherwise Ukraine could lose security guarantees from the US. According to sources, Zelensky plans to announce the elections as early as February 24, on the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. As previously reported, the American peace plan could have been adopted in the referendum. |
